Innovate Ventures launches the 2nd cycle of Women Business Accelerator with 16+ Promising Female Entrepreneurs.

2022 is still to bring a lot of innovation and impact-driven action to the table! Innovate Ventures is grinding on this with a selection of programs that support and motivate entrepreneurs, driving them to their next big milestone in 2022. A great example is the 2nd cycle of Women Business Accelerator. 

The Women Business Accelerator, held for the first time in January 2021, is a 4-week program that selects, offers essential business skills training, and funds female-owned startups in Somaliland The top 6 startups receive an investment of up to USD 30,000 from Innovate Ventures.

Innovate Ventures has an alumni network of over 100 startups and has invested over USD 200,000 in the 26 most promising businesses.

For this second edition of the Women Business Accelerator, Innovate Ventures received more than 400 applications from female-led startups based in Somaliland. 16 startups were selected to proceed with the 4-week program and participate in the demo day which offers funding of up to USD 30,000.

The selected startups are now undertaking a 4-weeks of intensive training and business mentorship from key experts. Throughout the program, Innovate Ventures is carefully picking networking opportunities and promoting the startups through their vast network.

After the training and mentorship components, a series of pitching sessions will be scheduled with international investors to facilitate funding access for the selected startups. Also, through the Innovate Ventures network, events and partners, the selected startups will gain the necessary publicity and media attention. .

The Innovate Accelerator Program partners with VC4A, Telesom, and Oxfam as part of Work in Progress! Alliance. To date, the program has graduated over 100 start-ups and has invested almost $200,000 in its graduates. As part of the acceleration package, you will receive training, mentorship by domain experts, access to an extensive business network, visibility, and a chance to get investment of up to USD 20,000.
